DataTools

Central to TMO's mission is the collection, processing, and sharing of data on Texas metros. Extensive data exist, but it is not always readily accessible or digestable. TMO has developed expertise on Texas data, and has begun to share data via online dashboards. Navigate to the People, Land, and Water pages to see our first prototypes.

In People, we analyze socio-demographic trends on diversity, education, poverty, and more, revealing several trends about the people of metropolitan Texas.

land-icon

Land

In Land, the physical expansion of metros is analyzed against population growth, density, and imperviousness, finding that growth is both more efficient and increasingly intense.

water-icon

Water

In Water, consumption patterns are examined by source and end-use, finding decreasing water use per capita; however, increasing population growth will outpace efficiency improvements.
